Visceral Biomechanics is a technique developed by Dr Victor Portelli (Chiropractor) to evaluate, test and address organ movement and function.
Through everyday life, our posture or injuries may affect the position and pressure on our organs. We may experience a multitude of symptoms such as UTI’s, acid reflux, vertigo and anxiety.

Organs like the stomach, especially when full, is an example of how poor posture may become more susceptible to reflux. Poor posture may also interfere with the stomachs natural position, which may push against the diaphragm. This can interfere with the body’s breathing mechanism, for the diaphragm to fully contract, which may contribute to feelings of anxiety.

Finding and correcting these tissue faults requires an anatomical insight with a physiological understanding of the body. Our practitioners trained in Visceral Biomechanics have an understanding on mechanical pressures, allowing them work out a solution of removing the tissue fault. Often, once the problem is located the symptoms are reduced, as tissues and organs can move and function in healthy way.

Dr Bojan Peric

Dr Bojan Peric (aka Dr. Bojangles) completed his Chiropractic degree (Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Chiropractic) in 2010 at RMIT University Melbourne.  However, he was a “health nut” long before then. His primary school friends will tell you he was well known for his “apple a day” for as long as they remember.

His love of sports fuelled his passion for health. Basketball, Tennis, Table Tennis, Badminton and, his most serious sporting endeavour, Taekwondo, had him seeking to improve performance long before considering a career.  He became multiple Junior National Taekwondo Champion and finished runner-up on his first, but sadly last, attempt as a senior. At this point, education took precedence as he embarked on his chiropractic journey.

After graduating, his thirst for knowledge had him acquire certification in Applied Kinesiology, Visceral Biomechanics and Dry Needling.  He continues to be an avid reader of research.  You can get your weekly dose, if you track his #ResearchSunday posts on Facebook.http://facebook.com/dr.bojan.peric

Utilising a hands-on and movement based approach. while encouraging good food, his focus is helping others exceed their own expectations.
